Managed transformation of Global Wide Area Network by creating a Global-Transit-Intranet (global corporate Network peering architecture for Wide Area Networks). Led the execution strategy, managed risk, managed user communications, configuration and checkout process. Global Wide Area and Metro Area Connectivity Cost Optimization
Led financial efficiencies during 2008 bear market to reduce global WAN connectivity cost. Partnered with Asia and EMEA leadership team to affect vendor consolidation, redesigned resiliency, led Global RFP process. Overall connectivity expense reduced by 25%. Managed annual spend reduction from $45M to $33M.
Emerging Market Network Build and Expansion
Led team responsible for designing network and communication layer of trading office in Mumbai along with data center build out in Mumbai. Build Primary dealership framework within India regulations. Led Network Integration of Benchmark business with GS infrastructure driven by Goldman Sachs’s acquisitions including Data Center separation, Work Place separation, Client circuit migrations. Merged Benchmark entity into GS Securities framework. Helped in integration of Archon and Litton Loans (Mortgage businesses)

Business Continuity Planning
Led Asia/ Egypt Crisis Management event. Worked to mitigate Infrastructure impact due to Taiwan Earthquake. Led teams of Engineers for restoration efforts, worked with application development teams and business units to prioritize application re-routing. Reported activities to Senior Management.
Led the team to build Business Continuity Site in GS (Bangalore). Contributed to Business Continuity and Readiness for North-East Hurricanes - Irene and Sandy.

Critical Infrastructure Monitoring
Transformed DNS lookup process. Optimized 2000+ operations hours and 4 head count globally. Replaced legacy DNS servers, removed cyclical dependency on monitoring with a self-service automated process that is data driven with several risk controls, programmatic halts, predictable service delivery, Inventory controls, etc. Reduced overall infrastructure risk.
Straight Through Alert Processing
Optimized DNS/DHCP/IPAM related alerts by 30%, optimized operations effort by 400+ hours. Reduced Average Queuing delay from 40 days to 10 days. Alert classification, Alert de-duplication, Alert Enrichment and Reporting.
Global Anycast DNS platform deployment
Led Re-Engineering effort of Anycast DNS promoting 11 layered auto failover of single VIP, cost optimization, global consistency, reduction of risk, high and full availability for DNS lookup functions.
External DNS Resiliency and Security
Introduced Neustar with other vendors to provide DDoS mitigation, external DNS security and manage multiple TLD’s.
Analytics – Early Diagnostic System and Metrics
Using hands-on R programming, created a proactive monitoring system to eliminate downtime in the system. By gathering vital statistics of server/system/routing infrastructure, created a metrics portal to monitor systems through UID’s and created “early warning system” so that operations know proactively about the degradation of the system beforehand and eliminate production outages by 60%.
